This new receiver provides HDMI (4 in/1 out), with support for 1080p resolution. Customers can connect multiple HDMI sources and enjoy the highest possible video quality when using a 1080p monitor. The RX-V1065 is also capable of repeating 1080p/24fps signals from HDMI input to output, maintaining the high image quality from Blu-ray Disc players and HDTV Set Top Boxes.
HDMI Digital Signal Upscaling and Deinterlacing
This is a function that upscales analog composite and component 480i or 480p signals to 1080i/720p HD signals or even 1080p Full HD signals so they can be output digitally with an HDMI cable and viewed at highest quality on high-definition displays. In addition, the analog video signals are deinterlaced from 480i to 480p and are output over an HDMI cable.

SCENE Linkage
You can operate an external component with the receiver remote control by setting a remote code for the external component for each input source. Setting remote codes for desired input sources allows you to switch between external components linked to SCENE selections.

This automatic sound optimization system analyzes the acoustics of the room and measures seven speaker characteristics, then calibrates various audio parameters to achieve the optimum sound at the listening position. The process takes only a few minutes and is accomplished using the included room optimization microphone.

This is an upgraded version of CINEMA DSP that uses the two presence speakers in the 7-channel configuration to give the sound field an enhanced vertical dimension. HiFi DSP programs sound more natural, closer to the feeling of being in a concert hall with a high ceiling or a club where the sound seems to bounce up from the floor. CINEMA DSP programs have a greater feeling of height that gives sounds coming from above, such as a helicopter, more precise localization.
Enhanced Adaptive DRC (Dynamic Range Control)
Yamaha's Adaptive DRC technology automatically adjusts the dynamic range of the sound according to the volume that is selected. Adaptive DRC refines the dynamic range parameters to make low volume sounds easier to hear (narrower dynamic range) while retaining the massiveness felt during high volume (wider dynamic range). And because our ears lose sensitivity to low and high sounds as volume decreases, it continually adjusts these frequency ranges according to the volume and to the input signal level.

The on-screen GUI (Graphical User Interface) makes operating the RXV1065 extremely easy. Each menu item has an icon in addition to the title, for easier identification, and album art will be displayed. Using the cursor on the remote, it is easy to make various selections, such as Setup, which then leads to other options, such as video adjustments. Each can be quickly selected and adjusted, and other operations, such as the Play control for all sources are also fast. After getting the feel of the remote, everyone will find this GUI a pleasure to use.
Expanded Radio Enjoyment
HD Radio Tuner Built InHD Radio offers crystal-clear sound via existing AM/FM bands. It also provides program data and the ability to tune to multiple programs at the same dial position. The RX-V1065 will display HD Radio information on the front panel and on the TV screen.
